Nudefest2009 - Date Announced!

Nudefest2009 - Thursday to Sunday, 18-21 June 2009

Announcing the return of British Naturism’s big summer event.

After the success of the previous two summer weekends, we’re delighted to announce that booking is now open for this year’s Nudefest!

The location is the same 25-acre, 400-pitch, usually-textile Newperran Holiday Park that will once again become a naturist resort for the weekend. We have exclusive use of the whole place, and nudity will be permitted throughout the event, from midday, Thursday to midday, Sunday. As last year, “naturist weeks” will run from Friday, 12 until Sunday, 28 June, during which time nudity will be restricted to designated camping fields so that you can make more of your trip to Cornwall.

As before, the weekend will be packed full of events and activities.

Activities already in the programme include two live music sessions this year by soul singer and winner of "Stars in their Eyes" Jay Washington and our good friends and 1970s chart-toppers Edison Lighthouse, plus the ever-popular disco, pub quiz, sacred dance, body-painting, yoga, life coaching (with one-to-one sessions available), “miTunes” – bring along your favourite classical/contemporary CD/MP3 track for others to listen to and tell us why it means so much to you - board games corner, crafts, bingo, The Treasure of Old Penwarren wide game/treasure hunt, prize draw, belly and soca dancing, , plenty of sports, a "Women in Naturism" workshop (for the girls only), "What do you want from BN?" fun feedback session, 3 Photography SIG sessions, running, juggling, an introduction to wargaming, and a giant Nintendo Wii with competitions throughout the weekend. There will also be a massage/therapy tent with various treatments available. We're also keeping a few wet weather activities in reserve just in case.

In the NEC (Naturist Exhibition Centre) will be the BN shop and many exhibitors including Fig Leaf Villas, Marine Conservation Society, South West and Midland region displays, Suntreckers, Peng Travel and Mobile Homes Abroad.

Obviously, circumstances can change and so please note this is not a definitive list but it's certainly looking good.

Look at the 2007 report and 2008 report and the following website www.nudefest.co.uk for information, background, feedback and reports. There's also plenty of chat and information on the members’ forum - too many links to list them individually, but have a look in the events section and pick out the topics relating to Nudefest or search for "Nudefest" using the button at the top right of every page.

Questions and answers

What and where is Nudefest2009?
Nudefest2009 is a weekend of events and activities run by British Naturism that takes place a short distance from Newquay in Cornwall at Newperran Holiday Park. Owned and managed by Keith and Christine Brewer, Newperran features a big heated swimming-pool with sunbathing terraces, large pub, shop, café, takeaway, children’s and toddlers’ play areas, games/TV room, modern shower, washing and toilet blocks and an aviary. Should the weather not be good, there are plenty of indoor areas. It’s set well back from any roads, is not overlooked and has views of the surrounding countryside, including the sea. It’s also only 2½ miles from the coast and easy to get to, being close to the main road through Cornwall, the A30, with Newquay and Truro, with their rail stations and other transport links, close by. Newperran Holiday Park has previously won gold and silver in the Camping and Trailer Magazine’s “Campsite of the Year” awards and been named as one of the top ten touring parks in Cornwall by Practical Caravan Guide.Newperran Holiday Park is a 400-pitch campsite, all with electric hook-ups, so you will need your own tent, caravan or motorhome.

Yes. It’s best to stay on site, but other accommodation locally is plentiful – ask for recommendations when booking – and you can come to Newperran on a day by day basis. There’s a list of naturist places to stay on the forum and website.

1-day ticket, BN members - £15 per person
