NEW! Eden Project Midsummer eventRed Letter Days’ ‘Garden of Eden’ event, one of the UK's biggest-ever naturist events, in association with British Naturism, will take place on the evening of Saturday, 23 June, 2007 from 7 to 11 p.m, at the Eden Project, Cornwall.
On the evening of the summer solstice, the biggest rainforest in captivity will throw open its doors to 2,500 naturists. Guests will be able to enjoy this unique opportunity to visit the world's different climates, flowers and plants just as nature intended - in the nude. Soak up the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Humid Tropics Biome, and the warmth and atmosphere of the orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines in the Warm Temperate Biome. Delight in the hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change your future, flourishing in the 30-acre Roofless Biome under the Cornish sun, or wander around the newly opened Core, a building which reflects the miracles of nature in its stunning structure and works of art. If you haven't visited the Eden Project before, prepare to be amazed and delighted. And if you have, then we're sure that this chance to explore Eden's many wonders au naturel will add an extra dimension to this very special place. How many of us have wandered around the tropical biome and felt very uncomfortable wearing clothes?
The ticket price for this unmissable evening out is fully inclusive of:
· Exclusive entry for naturists to the world-class Eden Project, with the chance to access all areas of this magnificent site. · Delicious and plentiful hot and cold buffet dinner of fresh, mainly locally sourced produce. · Two drinks per person from a choice of wine, locally brewed beer and soft drinks. · Fun and entertaining activities around the site, including face painting and other activities for children, as well as some great live music. · Free guided tours of the site and Biomes. · Goody bag to take home. · Fantastic produce stalls and exhibitors. · Free prize draw to win some mind-blowing Red Letter Day experiences. · Free guarded bag storage on site.

About Red Letter Days Created in 1989, Red Letter Days pioneered the concept of giving experiences as unforgettable gifts. Today they offer an unrivalled choice of hundreds of experiences and gifts across the UK and abroad. The ‘Garden of Eden’ marks a new era for the company, with this exclusive event chosen to be the launch of Red Letter Events - a fantastic new addition to a range of unforgettable experiences.
About the Eden Project Dubbed the 'Eighth Wonder of the World', The Eden Project nestles inside a crater the size of 30 football pitches, is an astonishing collection of over a million plants from all over the world. The tropical Biomes of Eden allow visitors the opportunity to experience the world’s climates and gardens, and offers a fascinating insight into the story of mankind's dependence on plant life and the relationships between plants and people.
In addition to the plants, art is central to Eden, and the site is liberally peppered with fascinating, thought-provoking works and installations. The Eden Project is all about mankind's relationship with nature and its dependence upon plants. Much of our food, our clothes, our shelter and our medicines come from the plant world, and without them there would be no oxygen for us to breathe and no life on earth. Eden works hard to help us recognise this, and the installations work to support the two gigantic Biomes - the biggest conservatories in the world.
Nudefest 2007 British Naturism is planning a whole weekend of events close to the Eden Project, with accommodation arrangements to make it easy for as many people as possible to be in the area at the time. Plans include parties, music, sports and other activities and a day on the beach. Nothing has been confirmed as yet, but we will keep you posted through the magazine, website and e-zine. It’s not yet live, but make a note of website address - www.nudefest2007.com - where information will start to appear before long.
Original post July 2007:We are also delighted to announce another naturist event in a public place – the Eden Project, near St. Austell in Cornwall. Yes, it's true - enjoy the world-famous Eden Project entirely as nature intended for a whole midsummer evening! The event, called “The Garden of Eden”, is being organised and hosted by Red Letter Days, the UK’s leading gift experience company, with the support of the Eden Project, Visit Cornwall (the new name for the Cornish Tourist Board) and British Naturism. Naturists will have exclusive use of the venue with access to all visitor areas, including the shop, plus there will be various special activities taking place during the evening. The ticket price will include a delicious buffet supper and a couple of drinks per person. There will be a lot of publicity for this event and tickets will be available to the general public. We know that the majority of people will have to travel a long way to attend the event, so BN will be hosting a whole weekend of activities to be called “Nudefest 2007”, which we hope will take place in a location close to Eden with provision for accommodation. It’s early days and tickets won't be on sale until later this year, so keep an eye on the website and sign up for the e-zine if you have not already, to get the latest news on both events as they unfold. Put the dates – 22 to 24 June, 2007 for Nudefest 2007, 23 June for the Red Letter Days' Garden of Eden Event - in your diary now. Please also tell your friends – this promises to be the biggest gathering of naturists in the UK ever!
