A mixture of shingle, small pebbles and rock pools. A spectacular and tranquil setting with a potential naturist part stretching a long way if you fancy a good walk, however, there is a small textile area in the middle where the coast path meets the beach. Due to the location it is never crowded, though seems to have a regular following.

There are two ways of approaching - the flat way with a long trek along the beach - park in Sidmouth, turn left along the beach and walk maybe about a mile (not easy on pebbles) once you get around the corner at the rocky outcrop, and past the landslide, the naturist part starts.

The other way is to drive east from Sidmouth along the A3052 and turn off towards the Donkey Sanctuary. Follow the signposts for Weston and when you reach the hamlet you will see a small National Trust car park on the right. If this is full drive on a short way andthere is another small private car park on the right (with a voluntary contribution box). From the first car park cross over the gate and follow the path down the valley to the beach This is a delightful walk, but be warned it is a very steep and strenuous walk coming back up. However the scenery and the setting make it worthwhile if you have the right level of fitness. It takes about 20 mins down, 30 mins back up.

At the beach you first hit the textile area, most naturists turn right and a short way down the naturist part starts (Past the stone wall). For an even quieter experience you can turn left and after a short distance the first naturists will appear and this continues for maybe a mile or more along the beach.

Unofficial, though this is National Trust land and at one time there was an official sign by the Trust encouraging naturists to turn right.

Completely rural with no facilities.
